Masters Contender Lisa Mikkelsen
Shifting From the Affiliate Cup to Masters
Lisa Mikkelsen caught our attention with her exceptionally fast run times (18:45 5K) and well-balanced benchmark stats. Just a little over a year into her CrossFit training, Mikkelsen has competed in the 2010 CF Games as part of CrossFit New England and now is aiming to either return to the Affiliate Cup or compete in the 45-49 Division of Masters.
Mikkelsen grew up an Army brat, born in Hawaii and slowly moving eastward as she got older. She spent the majority of her childhood in California, and now lives with her husband and nine year old son in small-town New England. She now runs the distribution company for Inov-8 USA, a job that fatefully led her to CrossFit.
Outside of CrossFit, Lisa hopes to place in the top five at the Worlds Masters Outdoor Track and Field meet this summer. She has the background for it, she won two silver medals in the 200m and 400m at last year’s USATF Master’s Indoor Championships, and with her extra training she may be able to push for something more.

Hey gang
Question?
Will Masters aged competitors be able to register for both the Masters AND the open qualifiers? How about registering for affiliate team?
Thanks

YA LISA! Way to go! Lisa kicks our butts at CFNE on a daily basis...she's a great person, and a hell of an athlete. She'll excel at whichever branch of the competition she decides to go after.

Lisa, Congrats on your recent success out here on the West Coast. You absolutely are a great competitor- classy in competition and friendly, supportive of others when not in competition. It's always nice to see those traits in CrossFit competitors. Keep smiling, Lisa.....and kicking butt.

Lisa's attitude is contagious. By far the most positive CrossFitter I've ever had the luxury of crossing paths with. Best of luck Lisa!
Just to mention too, she did fairly well at the 2011 OC Throwdown just a few weeks ago...
Go get em, "Mikkelsep"!
