Rogue Vs AF Tahoe Throwdown
An Interview with Peter Egyed at the Rogue vs. Again Faster Throwdown
Egyed Speaks on Balancing Training and Life
Peter Egyed is one of the most consistent CrossFit Games Competitors. He finished 10th in 2007, 21st in 2008, 6th in 2009, and 10th in 2010.
Egyed performs at this elite level while working 15 hours a day to run his gym, CrossFit Fury. Unlike many elite Games competitors, Egyed usually trains only once per day. His competitors may have more time to train, but Egyed is focusing on improving his mobility, technique, and efficiency.
Egyed usually works out with a class at his gym. His gym has some very fit athletes, some of whom even sometimes beat him in workouts. Egyed finds that he is more likely to train with intensity when he has competition.
After the past several years of intense CrossFit training, he enjoyed the change of pace of the Rogue vs. Again Faster Tahoe Throwdown. He competed on Team Again Faster.
Egyed added variety to his training after the Games by prepping for the CrossFit/USAW Open, where he finished 6th in the 94 kilo class.

Peter is definitely more intense with competition. A friendly game of bowling quickly turned into a competitive game of burpee bowling. He kicked my a$$! But it was fun.
