USAW Pre-Comp Interviews, Part 2

Interviews with Athletes and Spectators before the Open

On the eve of the the CrossFit/USAW Open, Rory Mckernan and Justin Judkins sat down with several of the top competitors to ask a few questions. Take a look at what the athletes were thinking leading into the event. Did their mentality before the competition go on to affect their performance?

The interviews are split into two parts. You can check out Part 1, which included interviews with Chris Spealler and Rich Froning, here.

Today's Part 2 features an interview with Kristan Clever, the 2010 CrossFit Games Champion, who went on to finish first in the 63 kilo class and achieved the highest female point total. There is an interview with female lifter Elyse Umeda, who took 11th place in the 2010 Games and won the 58 kilo class at the Open. This part also features interviews with female competitors Kathleen Winters and Michelle Benedict, who placed second in the 69 kilo class.
