CrossFit/USAW Starting Schedule and Lifting Order
All of the Details You Need to be in Right Place at the Right Time
The weekend schedule and lifting order have been finalized.
You can now download the full document in Excel format here.
Lifters and coaches should take note of your start times to avoid any complications onsite.
Please note that all lifters remain on the same day that was originally posted on the USAW website. No lifters have changed days. However, your start time may have changed slightly.
We have listed some important details to help you plan your weekend. Please be sure that you understand the timeline and competition requirements.
Competitors will weigh in two hours before their lifting begins. If an athlete fails to make his expected weight class, he will still lift at the same time as the weight class that he was expected to compete in. In other words, an athlete will be assigned a start time based on his self-reported weight class. His performance, however, will count in the weight class for which he qualified.
For the weightlifting component, there will be two platforms running at the same time. Each platform will have up to 14 competitors assigned to it per time period. The platform will begin with the lightest load in the weight class, and move up to the next heaviest lift accordingly.
The 6 lifters with the lowest lifting total will start the triplet first, after at least ten minutes of rest from the weightlifting. This is because the competitors with the lighter weightlifting totals will have finished their lifting earlier than those athletes with heavier totals. Those 6 lifters will begin the triplet at the same time. Once they have finished, the top 6 lifters from that platform will begin the triplet.
The Open will begin with the lightest weight classes competing on Friday. The weight classes will become progressively heavier throughout the weekend, with the heaviest weight classes competing on Sunday. For more detail on the schedule, see the official schedule attached to this post.
