The Chan's Attempt the Triplet
Matt and Cherie Chan Take an Early Shot at the CrossFit/USAW Triplet
Veteran games competitor, Matt Chan, has decided to take an unofficial early shot at the triplet workout that he will compete in for the 3rd event at the CrossFit/USAW Open. Chan puts up an impressive performance in the video, ripping through the squat cleans and pullups and demonstrating solid double under technique. His wife, Cherie, who came in 15th in the 2008 CrossFit Games and will be competing in the 63 kilogram class in the Open, joins him for the workout.
Matt finished this year's Games in 4th place overall. He is a firefighter and co-owns CrossFit Verve in Denver, CO, with Cherie. Matt is accustomed to training at higher altitudes. He warns competitors who train closer to sea level that the triplet will wind them much more at the higher level of elevation. Matt sets his goal for the workout at 9 rounds.
