Video: Individual Final Event
Competitors tackle the unknown for the final event of the 2010 Games.
As the sun began to recede quietly into the skyline over LA on Sunday, individual competitors at the 2010 CrossFit Games prepared for one last test. This test, of course, was completely unknown until their carefully selected footwear hit the floor of the main stadium. What lie ahead of them was a series of tasks that would ultimately separate the best of the best, from the Fittest on Earth.
Dave Castro quickly threw down the gauntlet 30 seconds before each segment of the workout began:
Event 6a
3 rounds of:
30 push-ups
21 overhead squats (65/95 lb.)
Wall rope climb between each element
(7-minute cap)
Event 6b
3 rounds of:
30 toes-to-bar
21 ground-to-overhead (95/65 lb.)
(7-minute cap)
Event 6c
3 rounds of:
5 burpee wall jumps
20-foot rope climbs (3/2)
(12-minute cap)
Men’s Heat: Austin Malleolo, Mikko Salo, Matt Chan, Chris Spealler, Rich Froning Jr., and Graham Holmberg.
Women’s Heat: Christy Phillips, Julie Foucher, Jessica Pamanian, Valerie MacKenzie Vobiril, Annie Thorisdottir, and Kristan Clever.

Biggest suprise for me was more people didn't get hurt on the last WOD and that some amazing athletes can't climb ropes yet!
