Intensity In Tent City
Guidelines for Good Times
The online CrossFit Community has one very unusual characteristic: We're also a real world community. We train together, party together, start businesses together, and once a year, we gather to watch the world championships of our sport, The CrossFit Games. In just two weeks, thousands of us will converge on Carson, California from different corners of the globe--Sydney to San Francisco, Stockholm to Okinawa--all to be part of the action. The community experience of the Games is well known.
Lot 17 at the Home Depot Center will become Tent City, a place to mingle with old friends, forge new relationships and enjoy game day. There will be food vendors, a beer truck bar, and lots of space for Easy-Ups. We'll be showing the Games on four 55" Plasmas.
The following are some guidelines for enjoying your time in tent city, handed down from the Home Depot Center.
When can I set up my stuff?
You will be able to set up your gear immediately after the gates open at 7am on Friday morning.
Can I bring my new ride-on cooler?
Coolers are allowed, but Los Angeles county ordinance prohibits you from bringing your own alcohol.
What about my Paleo Kits?
You can bring food into the Home Depot Center to accomodate "special dietary needs," but no grilling or cooking is permitted (again, this is regulated and is non-negotiable - we tried!).
All Nighter?
You will be required to vacate the premises by 11pm. You don't have to go home, but you can't say here.

A previous announcement stated that teams competing in the Affiliate Cup should make use of Tent City because the locker rooms etc were not large enough to accomodate all the team members. Will there be a separate area within lot 17 for competing teams? If the team is competing all three days, do they need to set-up and break down their "camp" every day? Just wondering. Need to be prepared. Thanks

I have decided to locate in Long Beach and travel daily to the event at the Home Depot Centre. Do you know how long this will take by car?

I'll be a spectator for the weekend. I must have missed this somewhere, but is there a schedule of events posted?
