Directing the Games: Chatting with Dave Castro and Justin Bergh
The directors of the Games talk about logistics and the future
In 3 short years the CrossFit Games have evolved from a quaint "backyard barbeque" event on a ranch in Aromas, California, to a world class sporting event with a matching venue.
As you can imagine, convening 100 of the world’s most elite athletes, thousands of fans, numerous sponsors and securing a state of the art facility to hold this year’s Games is no small feat. Director of the CrossFit Games’ Dave Castro and Assistant Director Justin Bergh have been hard at work ensuring that this year’s event is bigger and better than ever.
Sevan Matossian caught up with them recently for a quick chat about thier experience with this year’s Games process. Justin also reflected on what it’s like to be a member of the CrossFit HQ staff.
