You want me to do what?
Overhead Squat
(Individual Event 1, Affiliate Event 2)
For the overhead squat, take the barbell from the floor, not a rack. The movement starts with the barbell over head (elbows locked out and arm blocking the ear). The hips must pass below the level of the knees at the bottom. At the top there must be full lockout of the knees, hips, and elbows with the barbell over the head (arm blocking the ear). You may squat-snatch directly into the overhead squat if you meet the above requirements, but that is not required.
Double Unders
(Individual Event 1)
For the double-unders, the rope must past twice under the feet each rep. Missed attempts do not count.
Rower
(Affiliate Event 1)
Each team will have a Concept 2 rower. Each team member will row 50 calories. The athlete will need to stay seated until the monitor reads 50 calories. The damper on the rower will be set at four.
Deadlift
(Individual Event 2, Affiliate Event 2)
For the deadlift, full extension of the knees and hips must be reached with the shoulders behind the bar at the top. The hands must release the bar at the ground.
Pullups
(Affiliate Event 2)
The pull-ups are "standard," meaning arms straight at the bottom and mid-neck to bar height at the top, with any kip permitted.
Burpees
(Affiliate Event 2)
Burpees will start with the athlete standing upright. At the bottom, the chest and thighs must be on the ground. At the top the athlete will jump laterally over a small hurdle, while clapping the hands overhead (arms blocking ears). During the jump the torso must be vertical.
Muscle-up
(Affiliate Event 2)
For the muscle-up, full extension with the elbow straight at the bottom must be attained, and full extension with the elbows straight must occur at the top.
Two person clean and jerk
(Affiliate Event 3)
The bar starts on the ground with two athletes grasping the bar with both hands inside the collars. On the command of go, the athletes will lift the bar from the ground to the shoulders, then press, push press, or jerk the weight to overhead. At the top of the lift the knees and hips must be extended with the barbell overhead. The overhead position for a two person lift is arms closest to the plates locked out and blocking the ears. The inside arms may have a slight bend to account for athletes of different heights.

Quick question about the rowing for the affiliate event 1: Will the rower be "reset" between athletes? Or will the athletes row to 200 calories total? If they have to reset the rower in between each athlete, will the judge be resetting the rower or will the team be required to do that. Thanks!!

In regards to the 2 man clean and jerk, can it be a power clean or will it have to be a full squat clean?

Om the 2 person C&J. Can they drop it from the top or do they have to bring to the shoulder and then to waist and then to floor as shown in the video?

Nicole, the rower will be reset by the judge
Vili, whatever the athletes decide, although coordiantion is easier with a power clean!
Chris, You can lower it or drop it AFTER lockout is achieved and the judge gives a signal. The signal wording will be discussed between the competitors and the judges and covered in the event briefing. The third rep of the video shows the dumping.

Hi!
On the "jump" over the hurdle, does it have to be a two foot jump? Can an athlete one-leg hurdle hop it...basically looks like a side step over and is much easier than two foot hops. Thanks!

Jess,
Two feet over at the same time. The hurdle will be shorter than the one in the video.

For the affiliate rower, are we allowed to help our team-mates in and out of the rower - tightening/loosening foot straps and such?

Andrew, yes, you can help as long as you don't interefere with the judge who will be resetting the rowers' monitor.
