What is your athletic background?
I played soccer my whole life at the collegiate, domestic, semi-professional and International level. Ran a marathon (never again... painful and boring). I like to snowboard but I'm not very good. Soccer really took up every minute of my time. Between training and travelling I didn't really have any time to explore other sports. Now I'm all about CrossFit and food.

What is your history with CrossFit?
I first caught wind of CrossFit back in 2008, but didn't commit until February of 2009. It was introduced to me by my friend Dave Lipson. He came into the gym after the 2008 Games with both hands bandaged and continued to do pull-ups day after day. Eventually I asked him, "why are you doing that? Let them heal." He put me through a scaled Fight Gone Bad and I never looked back. Now I have my Level 1 and Level 2 CrossFit certifications, and have taken part in many competitions around the Northeast. I train at different locations that include Hybrid Athletics, CrossFit Tribe, CrossFit Gotham, and CrossFit KoP. Each one is very special to me. I can't just pick one. CrossFit has given me the opportunity to not only improve my own quality of life, but through education and coaching, help others improve theirs. I feel I am very lucky to be a part of such a great community. Good luck in the Regionals everyone!
