Asian Regional Events Announced
A first look at what the Asia athletes are up against.
We are proud to announce we are only days away from the 2010 Asia Regionals Qualifying Competition. Athletes will be competing for 2 male and 2 female births and a chance to advance to the CrossFit Games Finals at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.
Event 1
10 Deadlifts (315/205lbs)
50 Double-unders
900m Run
5 Deadlifts (315/205lbs)
25 Double-unders
400m Run
Event 2
As many rounds as possible in 12 minutes of:
Handstand Push-ups (5 men/3 women)
7 Snatch (115/75lbs)
Event 3
25 Sumo Deadlift High Pull (95/65lbs)
25 Meter Overhead Lunge (35/25lbs)
25 Pull-ups
25 Box Jump (24/20”)
25 GHD Sit-ups
25 KB Swings (24/16kg)
25 Toes-to-bar
25 Weighted Burpees (20/10lb dumbells)
Scoring
Scoring will be based on a lowest accumulated points system. Athletes will accumulate points based on placing in individual events as well as be assigned penalty points for any scaling of any portion of a workout. There will be an athletes meeting at 1800 on May 14th at CrossFit Asia which will explain the point system in detail.
Schedule of Events
Friday 1800 - We will have a athletes meeting to discuss any logistics questions in regards to the weekend’s events. We will also demo the standards for the first 3 events at this time so that you can ask questions and have the night to think about anything that didn't come to mind immediately. This is not mandatory but if you do not attend we will not deviate from Saturday’s schedule to get you caught up.
0700 - Athlete registration opens
0730 - Judges need to be on site, we will have a final judges meeting @ 0745.
0800 - Warm ups
0830 - Men's Heat 1 WOD begins
0900 - Men's Heat 2 Event begins
0930 - Women's Heat 1 Event begins
1000 - Women's Heat 2 Event begins
1200 - Men's Heat 1 Event begins
1230 - Men's Heat 2 Event begins
1300 - Women's Heat 1 Event begins
1330 - Women's Heat 2 Event begins
1500 - Men's Heat 1 Event begins
1545 - Men's Heat 2 Event begins
1630 - Women's Heat 1 Event begins
1715 - Women's Heat 2 Event begins
Movement Standards
Movement standards will be strictly enforced. All movement standards for Day 1 will be covered during the athletes meeting on 14 May @1800. If you are unable to attend this meeting for any reason the head judge will be available on Saturday May 15th, prior to athlete registration.

As I thought CF Asia doesn't diappoint with the workouts... I still have nightmares when anyone says 7 rds of 7 reps of two exercises..... There are some serious athletes that are going to make this Region one to watch....

for all athletes competing there is a clerical error in the schedule. I have made the change but it takes a little while to update .. THE ATHLETES MEETING IS @ 1800 ON FRIDAY!!! The Schedule shows it @ 2000 sorry for any confusion
