South European Sectional Workouts Announced

For the first time in history, sanctioned CrossFit competition moves to Southern Europe.

For the first time in history, sanctioned CrossFit competition moves to Southern Europe. Milan, Italy will host the South European Sectional Qualifier. Athletes in the region have a challenging road to qualification, the events are listed below.

Event 1 "The Godfather"
AMRAP in 10 minutes of:
250m Row
5 Squat Clean to Overhead (60/30kg)

Event 2 "The Italian Job"
5 Rounds for time of:
4 Hang Power Cleans (60/30kg)
8 Kettlebell Swing (32/16kg)
12 Toes-to-Bar

Event 3 "Pizza Connection"
For Time:
10 Deadlift (140/70kg)
20 Dumbell Push Press (20/10kg)
30 Double Unders
10 Power Snatch (50/30kg)
20 Wall Ball (8/6kg)
30 Pull-ups
10 Thrusters (50/30kg)
20 Box Jumps (60/40cm)
30 Burpees
30 GHD Sit-ups
50 Meters OH Walking Lunge (25/10kg)

It's too easy to criticise when you're not the one organising the event.

Personally, I think these WOD's are fantastic as they will allow a greater athlete participation. This will help grow CrossFit in South Europe. These are sectionals not regionals or finals.

A big thank you to Maurizio and Umberto for organising this event.

how was WOD 1 scored? How did they get to a numerical value?

They gave 1pt per 10m rowed and 1pt per rep on the C&J.
So 1 complete round was 30pts.
That's what my friend told me, who competed there...

So the top guy must have done 6 complete rounds + 146m on the row in round 7...
