Weekend Follow-up From Ontario Sectional
Paul McIntyre of CrossFit Colosseum checked in with the following update.
This past Saturday, 160 athletes gathered in downtown Toronto at the Moss Park Armoury to compete head-to-head in the first Ontario CrossFit sectional organized by CrossFit Colosseum.
The tension was palpable as the 160 competitors made their way onto the field of battle. By the final briefing at 07:30, these elite athletes were anxious to get the first WOD underway and to take one step closer to a spot at the Regionals.
As the countdown began for each heat, the roar of the 200 spectators was deafening. The energy of the crowd inspired phenomenal performances from all the athletes, and at the end of each heat the floor was littered with exhausted bodies.
This was a great weekend for the CrossFit community in Ontario. Everyone I talked with had a great time, competing and watching their fellow athletes compete. It seemed that almost everyone I talked to PR'd.
It was an intense weekend, and I can't wait to do it again next year. Thanks to all the athletes, spectators and volunteers for making this event a success.

These Section Wrap-Ups should have a rerundown of all the workouts on them. I still don't know what the 4th workout for this and many other sectionals was. Would be nice not having to search around for the ones that were announced everytime you wanna check out a sectional too.

Final Wod on Sunday:
2 Rounds for Time:
50 Double Unders
40 Box Jumps (20"/20")
30 Knees to Elbows on Rings
10 BB Snatch (135/85)
Muscle Ups (5x/3x)
100m Weighted WaterJug Run (90/90)
There was a time limit of 15mins for both males and females. Only two guys managed to complete the two rounds (the eventual guys who finished 1st and 2nd). No women completed two rounds in time. The judges were very strict on the snatches.
There was supposed to be 20 WallBalls (20/15lbs) but there were technical difficulties that didnt allow this to happen.
Was a good last event and lots of fun to watch for the specatators.

Hey Jeremy,
I agree not the best written write up for a sectional event - compared to Canada East write up.
WOD#4
50 - double unders
40 - box jumps @ 20"
30 - Knees-2-elbows on rings
10 - Snatches (power snatches were allowed by had to be complete lockout at the top, no press out allowed)
5 - Muscle ups
100m shuttle run - 95# water jug carry
2 rounds - 15min time cap
I believe only 3 males completed the two rounds in the allowed 15mins.
