The CrossFit Games sectionals will witness what the 49th state has to offer this weekend at the Alaska Sectional Event in Anchorage. Here you can find a timeline of the day's events, WODs and scoring.
Schedule
8:00am - On-site Registration
9:00am - Competitor briefing, rules, questions and walkthrough
10:00am - Event start time
Morning WODs
1. Max Clean and Jerk
2. Vertical leap
3. Max Watts on Concept 2 rower
A time limit will be given to complete your best score in all three events.
Two Mile outdoor run (Yes, be prepared to run in the elements, this is Alaska!)
Afternoon WOD
4 Rounds for time of:
6 Chest-to-bar pull-ups (3 for women)
6 Ring dips (3 for women)
500 meter row
6 Thrusters (135/95lbs)
Event Scoring:
Each event has its own scoring breakdown giving maximal points for first place and incrementally going down to zero for last place. Each event is weighted differently when calculating the final scores.
Percentages of total score:
15% Clean and Jerk 1RM
10% Vertical leap
10% Max watts
25% Two mile outdoor run
40% Final WOD

I'm a big fan of whomever created this stuff thing. I mentioned before in the comments that I loved the exercise selection and such. And, I'm an even bigger fan of the scoring system. I have no idea why this type of scoring has not been adopted already. In my Sectional, Travis Harrison (who took first place in C&J) could have hit a 405lb C&J and received the same amount of points as if he hit a 280lb C&J.

There is no mention of where the sectional is being held.

You can tell that my wife and I are true Alaska Crossfitters...the last two mornings have been snowing and we both thought.."cool, that should be make for a great run."
