New South Wales (inc. ACT) Sectional

NSW ACT Sectional Underway

Fight Gone Bad rears its ugly head in the first WOD of the day.

The New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory Sectionals are underway. The WODs for day one were announced this morning (Australia time) at the beginning of the competition. It looks to be a very well rounded challenge. Follow the 2010 CrossFit Games Scores Site for up to minute results from down under.

WOD 1:

"Fight Gone Bad!"

Three rounds of:
Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump, 20" box (Reps)
Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps)
Row (Calories)

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of "rotate", the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

WOD 2:

1 rep-max Clean (power or squat)

Six minute time limit, not including warm up.

Just want to say a BIG thankyou to the judges today.
It was an outstanding effort on their part to push through 140+ athletes through 14 heats non-stop!
We had quite a number of volunteer withdrawals and our guys stepped up and got the job done!

What we have planned for tomorrow is going to be alot of fun, can't wait!
