Athlete Profile - OZ - Antonietta Mansillo
I was competitive throughout my schooling years and played team sports. I took up distance running for 6 years, cycling for 8 and did a series of Triathlons for one year. The part I loved the most in this sport was the transitioning from swim to bike - bike to run, every second counted on the clock. One of the coaches was an ex-olympian track cyclist, they got me cycling competitively with a club. The club had a competitive reputation with lots of riders who took it serious within Australia and professionally overseas. I knew this coach was going to feed me exactly what it took to win. Doing your personal best and failing - that is why I love Crossfit.

J, it looks like her 5k run pace is about 6:22/mi, which is slightly faster than her 1mi run pace of 6:25/mi.

(Pretty close numbers -- likely that she ran her latest 5k more recently than her latest 1mi and improved in the time between.)

Hey J,
You will notice that it is 5km and 1mile. 1 mile is 1.6km. That is why it may seem weird.

yeah greg, you are right. i guess everyone didn't do up to date testing on every event. a 6:22/mi pace on a 5K is an awesome pace as well as just running a sub 6:30 mile. good luck to antonietta on her road to the games!!
