South American Qualifier - High on Life

This year we are taking CrossFit Games competition to an all time 'high,' literally. Colombia's capital city, Bogota, is located atop the Andes mountains at a breath-taking 8,600 feet (2,600 meters) above sea level. CrossFit leaves people on the floor gasping for air at sea level, so sending this year's athletes to the world's third highest capital city could be viewed as downright mean. This year competitors hail from countries including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Peru. The affiliate base has begun to grow rapidly in Central and South America.

CrossFit Bogota, which is hosting the Central and South American Regional, currently ranks as the highest CrossFit in the world. They have been suffering through the Workout of the Day at altitude for nearly a year, and they're still kicking. A number of athletes training at CFBOG are preparing for their shot at a trip to Aromas. Among the competitors are some well known Latin American celebrities.

Don't let their looks fool you... they are beautiful, but they will crush you in a WOD.
